Pressure Washer Accessories

Pressure washers can do almost anything, it seems. Areas that were so dirty you thought there was nothing for it but to repaint, resurface, or buy a new one come magically clean with a swipe of the pressure washer. The power of pressurized water can be amazing.

Sometimes, however, water under pressure, whatever the psi, whether hot or cold, is just not enough to get out the dirt or grime in question. In these cases there are a few things that can make the job possible.

Sometimes you will need to go over the area more than once. In these cases it is a good idea to first pressure wash the area, wait a minute or two, allowing the soiled area to soak a little and then wash again.

If this isn’t enough, cleaning solutions can be used along with the pressure washer. Many pressure washers come with an attachment that holds your solution, distributing it evenly with the water. Be careful to use only cleaners that are recommended on the type of surface you will be cleaning in order to avoid damaging it.

Besides cleaning solutions most of these machines come with various pressure washer accessories. These can make the task of cleaning very dirty surfaces much easier. They can provide a deeper clean that leaves a longer lasting like-new appearance.

Some of the types of pressure washer accessories can be attached to the end of the hose and provide a different type of spray. There are many different types of guns, wands and extension wands to help you get the spray where you need it and make it as strong as you need. You can also get brushes that attach to the hose, or water brooms.

Some other types of pressure washer accessories that might come in handy are turbo nozzles that increase the pressure of the water, giving a stronger spray for more difficult jobs. Water sandblasters can also be purchased and fill a more specific function.

Whatever you plan to use a pressure washer for, if it’s your first time, be sure to do some research on the best way to do the job. Find out what level of psi is recommended as well as any other tips to make the job easier. If you want to use cleaning solutions, find out which ones are safest and most effective for the surface you will use. You don’t want to do your cleaning only to find that you have ruined the wood of your deck or blasted your brick to hard and caused damage.

Whether you are buying or renting, be sure you get the pressure washer accessories you will be needing so you can be sure to come away happy, with surfaces cleaner than you’ve seen them in years.
